Dakota (The Sevion Brotherhood) Read online

  Dakota’s eyebrows lowered. “Why?” he asked exasperated.

  Nimo’s eyes widened. “Alphabetical order! Duh!” He shook his head. He walked over and leaned up to kiss Dakota’s lips. “Be back in a jiffy.”

  He turned and walked away, Dakota looked around and shook his head. When his mate had told him that he was nerd Dakota hadn’t really believed him, but in the past few days as everyone had been moving in, Dakota had realized that Nimo had downplayed just how much of a nerd he really was.

  “He’d fit in with the guys on The Big Bang Theory,” he muttered to himself. He chuckled as he noticed the poster on the wall of Nimo and Isaiah dressed as Hans Solo and a baby Chewbaca, obviously taken when Isaiah was only about a year old, at Comic-Con.

  The entire family had put their homes up for sale and moved their things with minimum fuss. Instead of selling all of Nimo’s parents’ furniture, he’d taken it out to the city dump and had it tossed in there, though some pieces he’d donated or burned, depending on the memories attached to it. He’d kept the baby grand piano that was sitting in the formal living room and a few paintings of Nimo and his grandparents, but everything else had been removed. Everything else had been replaced by furniture from Dakota, his brothers, his parents, or Nimo and Isaiah’s homes. The mansion looked completely different both inside and out.

  Dakota sighed and closed his eyes as he relaxed for the first time in days. “Dakota!” Nimo’s voice yelled out.

  “Yeah?” he called back.

  “Can you come help me? I want to put the Enterprise up but I’m not sure where.”

  Dakota groaned silently before chuckling. Things could be so much worse. It had been a few days and they hadn’t seen or heard anything from Razvan, and while they hadn’t let down their guard it felt good to be doing something mundane, like putting up memorabilia from a science fiction show.

  “Sure, baby,” he called back as he made his way towards his mate. His mate may be a nerd, with an obsession for science fiction, but Dakota wouldn’t trade him for anything in the world. When he hit his toe on the same box on his way out of the room he let loose a string of colorful expletives, he revised his thought, he still wouldn’t trade Nimo for anything in the world, but he would trade those boxes for pillows any day.

  Michigan whistled as he pulled his motorcycle up in front of the O8 restaurant where Lucas worked and saw the interior was dark. Damn, he’d missed seeing his baby work. Well, he’d just have to catch him leaving. He was pretty sure that Lucas would still be around, he never left early. Walking around the side of the building he heard the unmistakable sounds of two people having sex or about to have sex and almost retreated until he heard Lucas’s voice.

  “Oh God, Michigan, it hurts, please, stop! Take it out, Michigan. You’re hurting me!”

  Michigan froze for only a moment before he rushed forward. What he saw sent ice through his veins. There he was, his cock, ramming in and out of Lucas, tears streaming down his mate’s cheeks, blood rolling down from two puncture wounds on the side of his neck as he was fucked mercilessly.

  “Uh-oh. Looks like I’ve been caught,” the deep voice that came out of him, or the fake him chilled Michigan and he narrowed his eyes.

  “Razvan,” he said.

  “Guilty as charged,” the fake Michigan said before changing forms in the blink of an eye and shoving Lucas away from him and into Michigan’s arms.

  “Michigan? But—how? B-but. Y-you were.” Lucas shook his head, big, fat tears rolling down his face as he began to babble and rock back and forth, shaking his head.

  “Good luck completing your bond in time now, draga nepot, dear nephew,” Razvan said. “Your mate is damaged. He will never bond with you now. You will die of thirst and your parents will blame themselves. I may not have been able to ruin Dakota’s mating, but I can ruin the rest of yours until I finally rip your family apart.” He chuckled evilly. “Have a good night.”

  Michigan wanted to go after him but he couldn’t, he had to take care of his mate. He watched helplessly as Razvan disappeared in a puff of smoke. When Lucas passed out in his arms, Michigan licked his puncture wounds, grimacing at the taste of Razvan on his mate’s skin. He leaned his head back and let out a loud wail of grief at the injustice of it all before he gathered his mate in his arms and carried him toward his motorcycle, to rest him on the seat, before pulling out his cell phone to call his brothers. He was going to need their help to get his sufletul pereche to the hospital.

  Vicktor Alexander (everyone calls me “Vic”) is a southern gentleman by day, and a writer and purveyor of steamy, sticky, hot man on man (sometimes on man on man on man on man on man) sex by night.
